Thank you so much to all those who’ve been down on site over the last few days to help with the clean up. It’s been lovely to see so many new faces and see how much support there is to get everything cleaned and repaired.
It’s lovely to see just how much has been achieved already, the toilets are clean and sparkling, the stray picnic tables have been rescued from the trees and are now back in Herf’s barn ready for a spring picnic.
There’s still work to be done to restore the bases for the Camp Koodoo tents, which we’re due to be putting up in April.
Sadly the cabin is also in need of some work, the floorboards have been badly warped and the insulation is holding onto the water.
The good news is that we are ready to open to campers as planned on 1st March, with all our usual facilities.
However Biblins Bridge will be closed for a while longer yet, Forestry England will be conducting a structural survey over the next few days and we’ll know more once that’s done. Look out for an update as we have it.
