It’s been a busy few weeks, checking over the site and all the equipment, making sure it’s clean, dry and stored away after the flood ready for next Spring along with all the usual tasks to get the site ready for winter.
The iconic marquee has survived the flood waters, after a lot of work with hose and brush to scrub away the mud it’s now clean and ready to be sent off for repair. You know the day is cold when you come to fold the canvas and find in covered in ice!
The bell tents have also been scrubbed and will be heading off for repair over the winter to be ready for opening in 2020.
Although some of the railway sleepers went for a swim downstream, for the most part the bases are intact.
