Beautiful weather, beautiful location and a membership full of energy and inspiration.
Biblins hosted 200 Woodies to launch Woodcraft Folk’s new strategic plan. The site provided the perfect location for co-operative games, skill sharing, workshops and discussions on widening and increasing participation.
The event said goodbye to the outgoing General Secretary and celebrated a new vision to increase and widen participation. Members were inspired by a young member from Leicestershire who described how their group had been working to welcome refugees. Over the last 18 months groups had made welcome postcards, took a trip to the seaside for ice cream and co-operative games, organised picnics and games in the park.
For many of our members this was a first chance to see the site, tours and workshops on plans for the site going forward were very popular. It was especially nice to be able to introduce the site to staff from our other Woodcraft Centres.
Members of all ages were entertained by skill sharing sessions on games, bushcraft and craft as well as a circus entertainer, co-operative challenges and campfire singing.
